Ceiling Fan Replacement

Desert summers are a ceiling fan's whole career.

Out here a fan runs eight months straight, and the day it starts clicking or wobbling the bedroom gets loud and hot at the same time. I swap ceiling fans where a fan or light fixture already exists, and I leave them balanced, quiet, and pulling air the right direction.

What the job includes

• Old fan down, new fan up at the same spot, no new wiring
• Fan rated ceiling box checked, replaced if the old one is flimsy
• Blades balanced so it does not wobble at full speed
• Remotes and wall controls paired and working
• Light kits installed and bulbs in before I leave
• Your fan from the box, or one I pick up on the way

What it costs

A straight swap is a small job and stays far under the $1,000 line even with a mid range fan on the invoice. Two or three fans in one visit is the best value, one trip spread across all of them.

I am not a licensed contractor. California law limits my jobs to under $1,000 total for labor and materials, on work that needs no building permit. A fan where there is no fixture today means new wiring, and that is licensed electrician work. I will tell you which side of the line your job sits on from the photo.
