Valley wind finds every weak post and loose hinge.
When the wind comes through the pass it load tests every fence in the valley, and the gate is usually the first thing to fail. A dragging gate gets worse every week, and a leaning fence section is a neighbor problem waiting to happen. I fix them before they become either.
What I repair
- Sagging gates squared up with tension braces and fresh hinges
- Latches aligned so the gate actually closes, pool gates especially
- Broken pickets, boards, and rails matched and replaced
- Wobbly posts reinforced or reset
- Gate wheels, springs, and self closers installed
- Sun beaten wood sealed so it lasts a few more summers
What it costs
Repairs are quoted flat from your photos and stay under the $1,000 line, which covers a lot of fence fixing. Walk the fence line, photograph the ugly spots, and send the batch. One visit handles all of it.
I am not a licensed contractor. California law limits my jobs to under $1,000 total for labor and materials, on work that needs no building permit. A full new fence run is licensed contractor work, and if your fence is past saving I will say that instead of billing you to patch a goner.
Other jobs I take all the time: TV Mounting, Ceiling Fans, Faucets, Toilet Repair. One visit can cover several, and I work across the whole valley, see where I work.

FAQ
Customers frequently ask
My gate drags on the ground. Can it be fixed without a new gate?
Almost always. Gates sag because hinges wear and frames rack out of square. A tension kit, new hinges, and sometimes a wheel bring it back for a fraction of a new gate.
Can you fix just one leaning section?
Yes. I reinforce or reset the posts on that section and leave the rest alone. Replacing a whole fence when one section failed is contractor money you may not need to spend.
Does my pool gate need anything special?
Pool barriers are safety equipment, so I make sure the gate self closes and self latches the way it should. If yours slams, sticks, or will not latch, that is a small job worth doing this week, not someday.
